Every one of us wants to get our needs met, whether it’s intimacy, attention, connection, recognition, respect, care, companionship, or love. Unfortunately, based on numerous factors, many of us learn unhealthy ways to meet these needs that create more difficulties than are necessary. Group therapy provides a unique and useful way to address these unhelpful behaviour patterns that are often unknown to us. The main goal of group therapy is to identify these maladaptive behaviour patterns (often known to us as relational “blind spots”) in a safe, supportive environment and to find more adaptive ways to connect with others to get our needs met.
1. Help children develop a vocabulary to identify and express their feelings.
2. Sensitise and help them develop empathy towards others.
3. Help children develop a sense of well-being within themselves.
4. Promote peaceful co-existence and teach children that everyone’s needs are important and can be fulfilled.
5. Inculcate in children the art of having difficult conversations.
6. Create a paradigm shift of parenting from power – over to power – with children.
7. Develop a sense of connection, belonging and acceptance in the family.
In difficult times, love can be the oil that eases friction, the cement that binds closer together, and the music that brings harmony. So come join us in this unique program where we view conflicts as an opportunity to see each other, connect deeper and strengthen our bonds
